I love this account because its about one of my favorite things: beer.
Let’s face it, beer makes people happy. This account will serve you up consistent photos and comments of happy people all around Frederick sharing whatever beer they are enjoying.

The BEST Local Guides in Frederick to Follow
Several public and private local guides cover everything related to Frederick. Virtually all have social media accounts that are great follows if you want to keep up with happenings in the area.
2. Visit Frederick
This is the official tourism org for Frederick, so its packed with local information. The socials will keep you updated on what’s happening in and around Frederick.
If you are visiting, their main website is a great resource for planning your visit.
3. Downtown Frederick
One of Frederick’s best attributes is the vibrant and characteristic downtown. Downtown Frederick Partnership is another tourism, business, and events org specifically focused on downtown.
An excellent follow for events in downtown, but also check out their directory of businesses, which features a cool interactive map.
5. Frederick Magazine
This is the best magazine devoted to Frederick, and it has a fabulous accompanying website and social media presence.
They run an annual ‘Best of Frederick’ program, a section dedicated to restaurants, breweries, and wineries, and a fascinating ‘Then & Now’ series on Frederick’s history.
6. BeLocal Frederick
Run by a Frederick local, BeLocal is another local magazine designed primarily for new residents. It’s a good follow on social media in general.
They post regularly on things to do in Frederick County on their Instagram and Facebook channels. There’s a focus on local businesses to help us all support our local community.
7. Housewives of Frederick County
This very local Frederick County website focuses on all things Frederick, as well as lots of recipes!
You can read articles on virtually any Frederick-related subject, and their Instagram and Facebook are very active with the latest happenings. I’d also recommend their newsletter if you want weekly happenings in your mailbox.
The BEST All-Purpose Frederick Facebook Groups
In addition to the Groups already mentioned in the categories above, there are a plethora of other Facebook groups dedicated to Frederick, MD.

With almost 150K members, this is the largest Frederick-focused Facebook group. It’s great for keeping up with everything going on around town (and plenty of meaningless distractions as well!).

Started by a real estate agency (like so many other great social media sites), this group is similar to the ones above but tries to bring in the communities in the area surrounding Frederick.

Leading Frederick-Based Lifestyle Social Media Influencers
Being a lifestyle-focused social media influencer is a big thing these days, and several are based in Frederick.
Each has its focus, but you’ll see them creating content and posting about everything from fashion to home decor to travel.

1. A Little Bit, ETC (Maree Sye)
Maree Sye is a fashion influencer with a massive following. She focuses on over 40 fashion, beauty, and makeup topics.
She writes a lot about lifestyle in general, and a lot of it is Maryland-focused. (I’m blown away how one person can post so much content regularly!).
2. Frederick Home Finds (Corrine Counts)
Another local influence is Corrine Counts, who runs the Frederick Home Finds website and has a huge Instagram following.
Corrine’s gigs are mostly home decor and thrifting. But follow her because she’s always on top of things in Frederick.

This is technically another online publication for Frederick. But like the other accounts in this section, its focused on living in Frederick.

Tiffany Mahaney is an online marketing / social media powerhouse in Frederick and a must-follow. She also writes a weekly column for The Frederick News-Post.

3. Kid-Friendly Maryland
This site and account is more Maryland-focused than just Frederick, but if you are a parent looking for things to do in the area, it’s a great resource.
Sara Reimers has been blogging about kids’ activities in Maryland for years and has written endless articles on things to do.
