If you are anything like Nicole and me, good coffee is essential to every day.  We are part of the 62% of Americans who drink coffee daily.  Having a really good coffee shop like the Frederick Coffee Co are a must in a hometown.

Frederick actually has several great coffee shops that we like to visit.  But the Frederick Coffee Company is our favorite.

Frederick's Neighborhood Coffee Shop Since 1991

Like so many other of our favorite places in Frederick, the Frederick Coffee Co has a long history in the city.  Its been serving great coffee to Frederick residents since it opened in 1991.

Its prominent location at the corner of East Street and Church Street just past Carroll Creek serves almost as a ‘Welcome to Frederick’ venue if you enter the city from East Street or Buckeystown Pike.

What makes a great coffee shop?  Well, it starts and ends with good coffee.  We all have different preferences regarding how our coffee is served, but the quality of the coffee beans is the foundation for everything.

The Frederick Coffee Co uses its own brand of coffee beans.  I’ve tried several, and they are legit.  I tend to like dark coffee, so the French roast or whatever dark roast they have brewed is my option.

At the Frederick Coffee Co, you can pretty much get any type of coffee drink you prefer.  Lattes, expresso, cappuccino, or any other type of expresso drink is served up and made to order.  They also have a long list of flavored specialty lattes.

While Nicole loves her Latte (usually a macchiato), I typically opt for regular drip coffee.

The Frederick Coffee Co Food Menu

Also, like any good coffee shop, The Frederick Coffee Co. offers great coffee house accompaniments – pastries, croissants, danishes, etc.  All are displayed behind glass, ready to temp you as you order.

This is also a great place to get breakfast or lunch as well.  For breakfast, there’s a fabulous list of menu items, such as wraps, egg sandwiches, bagels, and oatmeal.

If you are a breakfast person like me, Frederick Coffee Co is a great place to get breakfast in Frederick.

Once lunchtime begins, FCC transforms itself into a sandwich shop.  You can get made-to-order sandwiches, paninis, salads, soups, and of course coffee and dessert to finish your meal.

A Cool Coffee Shop Environment to Hang Out

Let’s face it, we don’t all go to coffee shops just for the coffee and food.  We go because we want a cool place to hang out.

Whether it’s to read, meet a friend, or get out of the home office, a good coffee shop is a place you can go to spend time away from the rest of your life.  The FCC is perfect for this.

While the interior is not huge, it’s big enough to house a good collection of low-top and high-top tables.  Combine this with interesting local art on the walls, and strong WIFI, and you have a great coffee shop to hang out.

During warmer weather, there’s also even more seating outside.
